How to Prepare Genmaicha

  1. Add 3–4g of genmaicha leaves per cup to a kyusu (Japanese teapot).
  2. Add 80ml of freshly boiled water per cup at around 100°C.
  3. Allow the tea to infuse for around 30 seconds, without stirring or disturbing the tea leaves.
  4. Pour evenly into cups, making sure to empty the teapot completely. The same leaves can be used for 2–3 infusions.
