Our collection of chasen bamboo whisks brings together traditional Japanese tools for preparing matcha. Each whisk is carefully crafted from naturally dried bamboo, split by hand to create fine tines that produce a smooth, even tea.

Made using time-honoured techniques, chasen vary in form and finish depending on tea tradition, reflecting both function and refinement in Japanese tea practice. It is traditionally used alongside a chashaku (bamboo scoop), to create a smooth, balanced bowl of matcha.
