About Us

Keiko Uchida has a reputation for offering the very finest Japanese teas. From years of visits to tea farmers and tea makers in Japan, she has created a unique network of opportunities and suppliers, and a unique awareness of tea agriculture.

The collection of Japanese teas presented here, and offered in the London store, is extraordinary for its high quality and range. A rare and individual selection, extensive and unashamedly specialist, and full of amazing rewards and delights.

Keiko’s fascination for Japanese ceramics, and her deep knowledge of the country’s potters and kilns, its history and traditions, has a parallel intensity and passion. In a similar way, she journeyed to the main ceramic centres, forming close relationships with potters and families, and into the hills to discover little-known ceramic artists who are creating beautiful pieces.

Both and tea and ceramic collections come with Keiko’s remarkable knowledge, something she loves to share. Growing up with Japanese culture, she has developed an incredible expertise and passion for the art of tea. Her expertise drives the selection of teas and ceramics, and is also at the heart of her Tea Ceremony Workshops. This is offered personally to you at the London store, when you come to Keiko Uchida, as well as here on line.
