The Great Inheritance brings together new work by renowned Mashiko potters Tomoo Hamada and Kan Matsuzaki. As the son and grandson of well-known potters, their work is deeply informed by the traditions and relationships they have inherited, while reflecting their own individual approaches to making. The exhibition explores how family, craft and inspiration shape the evolution of an artist and their work.
