GOSU Dobin/Teapot
GOSU Dobin/Teapot
"Gosu" is a historic blue pigment that has been traditionally used in ceramics, particularly in blue and white ware. Gosu has since become widely used across various ceramic production areas. Unlike other pigments, Gosu Blue is known for its durability, as it is applied to unglazed pottery, ensuring the colour remains vibrant and does not fade over time. Although collectively referred to as Gosu Blue, the pigment comes in a range of shades, from deep, muted blues to bright and vivid tones, and even soft, delicate light blues.
Each GOSU teapot in this collection offers a unique range of blue tones, from bold and deep to light and delicate, reflecting the diverse expressions of Soekyu GOSU 1.0–5.0—five carefully selected shades of blue developed by Soekyu Seitosho. These handcrafted teapots with a beautiful bamboo handle bring elegance and tradition to your tea experience, perfect for both formal tea ceremonies and casual use.
