Welcome to the Art of Tea!
A Japanese Tea Master
Born in Tokyo, Keiko Uchida has been steeped in traditional Japanese culture from an early age - her mother is a renowned Kimono specialist, and her father developed traditional tea rooms. For over two decades she has practiced the Tea Ceremony with Masters in Tokyo, Kyoto and London.
Now, as a Tea Master herself, and living in London, Keiko’s vision is to introduce the
art of tea to audiences and communities around the world, bringing the blessings of Japanese tea, Japanese ceramics, and the fascinations of the Japanese Tea Ceremony to as many people as possible.
Before opening the Keiko Uchida London store in 2025, she set up her Tea Studio in 2015, and created the Tea Ceremony Workshops, which has allowed her to share the traditional aspects of the Ceremony, and her love of Matcha, with a huge range of clients and audiences - from school children to the Governor of Tokyo, and from rock stars to world leaders with the UN.
Having practiced the Japanese tea ceremony for over 25 years, it is Keiko Uchida’s mission to share her passion with a new audience.
