It is my favourite book for long time. If you are a green tea lover, I would love to recommend this book as your company. It is also great book as a Christmas or birthday present. There are a lot of versions of this book, but I think this version is the best as I like an introduction essay by Christopher Benfey.
The Book of Tea was originally written in English and sought to address the inchoate yearnings of disaffected Westerners. In a flash of inspiration, Okakura saw that the formal tea party as practiced in New England was a distant cousin of the Japanese tea ceremony, and that East and West had thus "met in the tea-cup."
