‘Ippoen’ is a top grade gyokuro (shaded tea) from Ippodo, smooth in texture and with a
rich umami flavour, virtually free from astringency. You could also enjoy its bold umami and
sweetness as a cold drink. As a shaded green tea, Gyokuro is often regarded as the highest
grade of Japanese tea, one that is particularly rich in flavour.
