He is the son of esteemed potter Ken Matsuzaki, a prominent figure in the Mingei (folk craft) tradition.Matsuzaki’s ceramics are distinguished by their elaborate glaze applications and complex surface compositions, showcasing a contemporary interpretation of classic forms.

Kan Matsuzaki has exhibited his work internationally, including at Ippodo Gallery in New York, where his pieces have been featured in curated exhibitions.
