A harmonious blend of nature and form, this flat tea caddy is wrapped in hand-applied wild cherry blossom bark, encasing a durable steel interior. Crafted using the time-honoured Japanese technique of Kaba-zaiku (cherry bark craftsmanship) from Akita Prefecture, each piece reflects a quiet elegance rooted in timeless tradition.
The natural cherry bark is known for its gentle antibacterial properties and its ability to temper the metal’s conductivity, helping to maintain the tea’s freshness. Over time, the surface develops a rich, amber-toned sheen that tells the story of daily use and care.
This piece embodies the refined balance between utility and beauty, offering the sealing strength of tin and the organic warmth of cherry bark.
