Chawan
Available in three colours – black, amber and cerise – these distinctive bowls from Kyoto have been inspired by the rough purity of traditional Raku ware, and its original 16th century founder, Chojiro, whose tea bowls were said to have been overseen by the famous tea master Sen no Rikyu, creator of the formal Japanese Tea Ceremony
As smaller-scale pieces these tea bowls are traditionally designed for travel, but also make ideal bowls for those with slightly reduced space or those who are looking for a first authentic tea bowl.
Dimensions
6.2 x 9.5 cm (each chawan is individually crafted so there will be slight variations in size)
