Crafted using the time-honoured Japanese technique of Kaba-zaiku (cherry bark craftsmanship) from Akita Prefecture, each piece reflects a quiet elegance rooted in timeless tradition.
Crafted with quiet precision, this tea caddy is fully wrapped—inside, outside, and across the lid—in raw chirashi cherry bark, known for its marbled, “Shimo-furi” finish. Each piece reveals the unrefined beauty of the wild cherry tree, with natural variations that make every caddy unique in texture and tone.
The bark’s organic properties—gentle breathability, moisture retention, and antibacterial strength—create an ideal environment for storing fine tea leaves.
