Unique Hand-Painted Lobster and underwater scene sobachoko

This beautifully crafted ceramic cup features a striking splash of red and blue, adorned with lively patterns of lobster and fish. The vibrant marine motifs bring a joyful energy to the piece, celebrating both nature and tradition in a design that’s as meaningful as it is eye-catching. The two lobster slightly intertwined with each other as if dancing across the scope of this cup. The cup is fired twice to highlight the boldness of the red colour in the fish which contrasts beautifully with the smooth blue tones.

Its smooth, rounded form is perfect for enjoying tea or serving snacks and confectionery, bringing a touch of refined artistry to your table. Designed for versatility, it can also be used as a serving dish for desserts or small sides.

Keizangama is a traditional Japanese pottery studio based in the historic village of Arita, located in Saga Prefecture—a region renowned as a benchmark for Japanese pottery. It is one of the only two kilns (out of 200) to be currently run by a female CEO.

Please note: As each product is hand painted, slight variations—such as blurring or differences in the intensity of the design—are to be expected, enhancing the unique charm of each piece. We recommend avoiding using a bristle or scratchy sponge when cleaning it.
