Lightweight and easy to clean, the resin whisk maintains its shape over time, making it ideal for both beginners and seasoned tea practitioners. This polypropylene plastic whisk comes with its own stand to ensure your chasen will accompany your matcha journey for a long time.
One of the key advantages of this whisk is its resilience—unlike bamboo, the plastic tips are less likely to bend or lose form. If the shape does become slightly deformed, it can be restored by pouring boiling water over the whisk and placing it on the stand.
It can be completely dismantled—the outer tips can be removed, and the handle splits into two parts—making it easier to clean thoroughly. The entire set is dishwasher-safe, including the use of detergent, and it's resistant to heat up to 100°C.
Because it’s made of plastic, it can be used with milk and other dairy ingredients without worrying about staining or lingering odors, making it ideal for matcha lattes. While the resin whisk is durable, its tips will gradually wear down over time and should be replaced once worn out.
How to Make Perfect Matcha:
We recommend you use not quite boiling water, around 80°C works well.
If you are using a chashaku (a Japanese bamboo teaspoon) we recommend 2 scoops, or 1 scoop from an ordinary teaspoon (approx. 1.5g)
- Add 2 scoops of matcha powder to your tea bowl or cup.
- Pour around 70ml of not quite boiling water into the tea bowl.
- Whisk the matcha with the chasen in an 'M' shape for about 15 seconds until smooth and slightly foamy.
- Relax and enjoy!
