How to care: Keep the kokeshi out of direct sunlight as the wood can become discoloured. Place the kokeshi away from extreme temperature or humidity to maintain its shape and finish. You can dust the kokeshi with a cloth and avoid using cleaning chemicals. Some kokeshi occasionally might benefit from being polished with natural beeswax or other products suitable for wood. Handle the dolls gently to avoid chipping the wood or paint. Hold them by the body rather than the head to prevent damage to the more delicate areas.By following these helpful steps, you can keep your kokeshi dolls looking beautiful for many years.
