This beautiful antique teapot is decorated with two birds perched on a flowering branch above a river. The entire teapot is hand painted, with delicate gold details.
Satsuma-yaki is a style of Japanese pottery from the Satsuma region in Southern Kyushu. In the Meiji era, satsuma-yaki was the most recognisable style of Japanese pottery outside of Japan.
