We are delighted to announce the launch of our exclusive Single Origin Matcha — a collection that celebrates the pure, unblended character of Japan’s finest matcha cultivars.
Unlike blended matcha, which is crafted to ensure a consistent taste year after year by combining leaves from multiple cultivars and harvests, single origin matcha offers a truly honest and distinctive flavour profile. Each tin reflects the unique qualities of its specific cultivar and the climate of the harvest year — similar to how a fine single malt whisky differs from a blended one.
On our recent travels through Uji, Kyoto — the historic heart of Japanese tea — we were fortunate to partner with a small, award-winning tea farm. Operated by the same family for eight generations, this farm is run today by just three dedicated individuals. Their traditional, small-scale approach and hand-picked harvesting methods have earned them multiple international gold medals.
